The Tea and Lego Challenge.

I have come to realise that there are two great pleasures in my life that need developing.

1. Enjoying something that has no other purpose than to be enjoyed. For example, Tea. I don’t drink green and white tea so much because of the crazy amount of health benefits, but because I really enjoy the experience of sitting in the warm with a nice mug of flavoursome tea.

2. Creating something purely for the fun of creating it. For example, Lego (other cool building block brands also available). You know what I’m talking about here, the hours spent searching for the right pieces to make the best Lego creation ever imagined by a 7 year old, only to pull it apart as soon as you’ve finished to build something else.

Over the summer I spent quite a lot of time drinking a wide variety of green and white teas, but have been left with a feeling that there’s more that can be done. Every time I drink a tea it’s different – similar, but never the same. Just like Lego, every time you make a space ship it’s different, but still a space ship.

So why not combine the two? I know, it’s a fantastic idea. There needs to be lots of different teas, but more than just me drinking so there’s a deeper and wider appreciation of them. And there needs to be lots of creating things, without the ‘I have so much time and so many pieces I could build so many things and can’t decide which one’ issue.

It’s a fantastic idea, and I now have a fantastic plan. The preliminary tea tasting has been trialled, now for the Lego side, and you’ll just have to wait a bit longer to find out what the plan actually is (apart from Fantastic, that is).
