Tea Tasting – The Plan

I found a website (randomly) called Wild Tea Qi a few months a go, and after seeing the name and the look of the site I knew I’d be buying tea from them.

Having looked at their wide variety of teas, I eventually ordered some samples of their various green and white teas.

Up until now, my tea experience has been mainly Mao Feng and Gunpowder green teas (plus random ‘green’ tea bags, and a load of loose ‘green tea with …..’ from places like Whittard and Attic Tea (more about these guys later). So, after a few friendly emails with some of their staff a small box arrived. 10 different loose leaf teas, and 1 bar – never seen non-Pu’er like this, so will be investigating how to use it later.

The plan is to try one tea a day and write out my thoughts about it to help me remember the differences (assuming of course that I can differentiate between them!). Having no background knowledge or experience of ‘tasting’ drinks (apart from mead), I don’t foresee any deep philosophical postulations coming forth, more sofa side scribbles.

Here we go ….
