Quick note: I never got round to posting this (due to sickness and the sleeping) so here’s what I had for Day 6. Yes, it never really got finished. Yes, it’s almost three weeks late. Hopefully this will distract from the fact that I only started on today’s entry an hour ago (either Round 2: Day 1 or just Day 7 – can’t decide).

Late again…
Today (Saturday) has been good day.
The IV tubes are out, the bed works again, I slept for a few hours and I have re-mastered the art of peeing normally.
Not that anyone cares, because the star patient in this ward is……my teddy bear.
It’s true, nurses love a bear.
If I get out of bed for a minute I come back to find the Bear tucked in and pampered. I get codeine, he gets morphine. I get morphine, he gets hugs. I get laxatives, he gets hugs. Not. Fair.
Also, I bet the Bear that he couldn’t get 5 nurses to pose with him for a ‘Bear Gallery’. What can I say, nurses love a bear photo.
Chemo Tales will no longer be daily from tomorrow as I’ll be on my three week break before they bring me in for another session on the 21st. With the Bear. No bear = no nurse love.
It’s homeward bound tomorrow. Then bath, sleep and more sleep and more sleep and more sleep….
El Chemosloth
All filler, since 1984.
I’m so lonely….. I know! I”ll go find some nurses!
